It is my privilege to welcome you to the first edition of Cambridge Model United Nations Conference 2012. There has been a massive increase in the number of MUNs organized in the country at school and college level. Meanwhile, we are all witnessing how MUNs are degrading in their purpose- knowledge, debating, negotiating, and cooperating and respecting; Today, we see a loss of the vision with which MUNs were devised as a concept.
We, at Cambridge MUN are focused at doing our bit to bring back the focus of MUNs on diplomacy, debate and most importantly, doing what a model is supposed to- simulate the real in the closest manner possible. Let’s come together to be the delegates that world needs.
Implementing this mindset, I present to you Cambridge MUN 2013. This conference shall be open to students from class IX-XII. For all those who have been a part of MUN conferences before, I hope you’ll use this opportunity to test your skills and improve them further. If this is your first conference, then you’re going to be a part of a concept set a change in you and you’ll never be the same. Moreover, I hope this is an enjoyable experience for you all as it is for all of us as the secretariat of this conference.
I sincerely hope you would join us to make our first edition of an inter-school MUN conference a success and most importantly, to share our vision with us and make it a reality.
